Band/artist history
My previous band title was formed in late 2003 a short while after a good friend (JD) introduced me to FL Studio (formerly known as Fruity Loops). But I've been producing my own work for roughly 8 years now; my experience is reflected in my music and capabilities.
The name Ven. Vile was born many years before my work in production began. As a kid, at around age nine I started writing raps with no real direction. During my teens I wanted a name that mirrored my awareness and Venerable Vile seemed fitting. Venerable being a rank in priesthood; i.e, positive, while Vile means nasty and negative. This is essentially what life comprises; the good and the bad.
Although I've been writing and producing for some time now, it was only in late 2008 I decided to make this my career; I cannot see myself doing anything other than music and being truly fulfilled. Eternal Empire Productions manifested from my need to make music a serious part of my life.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
No.
Your musical influences
What started off as a sole appreciation for Hip Hop branched off into a love for all types of music; from Hip Hop, to Jazz, to classical piano, to RnB, to Rock.
Growing up I thrived off of Hip Hop and dancehall music, but as I grew I developed an appreciation and love for other types of music, especially emotional pieces. Inspiration and influence comes in many forms, from birds chirping, to tight basslines or the rhythm a washing machine makes when washing. Other influences are
The RZA, Timbaland, DMX, Enya, Mozart, Nat King Cole, Michael Jackson, Two Steps From Hell, X-Ray Dog, Sonic-Symph, Philip Glass, Speedy from Cynikal Productions, Anno Domini Beats, Jermaine Dupri, Canibus, Stoupe The Enemy of Mankind, The Wu Tang Clan, K-Rino, Johnny Juliano, Swollen Drumz Productions, Mister KA, Hans Zimmer...this can go on for eons.
What equipment do you use?
FL Studio 9
