Emcee T has been representing the west coast and bay area hip-hop since 1995, first with the group Chink Bros and now as a solo artist, producer and TV show host. At times grimy, rough, ruggid, and raw, but always on point, T's first mixtape project sold over 2,500 copies at Bay Area Tower Records, Amoeba & Rasputins. His debut album, "UNDERESTIMATED" features Bay Area rap veterans / pioneers, Ray Luv & Rappin' 4-Tay (multi-platinum artist). The love for hip hop in general is what influenced me to begin my spit... Also the fact that I'm from the Bay Area - the HOME of 'Bay Area Gangsta' rap (I represent the Old School mixed with new-school Bay)... And the rap game here has been going on for years. What keeps me going is... the fact that my flows give me a way of venting anger, frustrations, and my feelings - both positive and negative. I've been flowing since I was 16. I've always loved hip hop since a kid, but I was REALLY influenced by Ray Luv's cousin at a house party in Santa Rosa. I caught him in a freestyle session rappin' over Dre Dog's "SOME DOPE AND SOME RAP"... I was amazed and from that, I caught the bug. We were all perved - that's why I call my style the "Drunkin' Freestyle." This was back in early 1996... Fast forward to 2004... 2005, with the release of my mixtape CD, Hard Headed... and soon with the highly anticipated debut album "UNDERESTIMATED".Have you performed in front of an audience?I've loved hip hop and even "gangsta" rap back in the day (mid-90'ish)... so naturally, I love to express my love for "her" out in public and in private. I've performed at local open mic spots, lounges, clubs and even house parties but now-a-days I'm at T'z Studio makin' slaps and focusing on the media aspect of it (TV show, etc). Special moments? Probably working with Ray Luv, a guy that went to my same high school and someone I looked up to as a hero.
