EdwardsBand

Started with modular synths in the late 70's. Played keyboards in a couple of minor bands. I have always been a songwriter, mainly the music, but sometimes the lyrics when the emotion is right. Just love music in general, it heals my soul.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started with a little Casio keyboard, and quickly found an old Yamaha CS-80. That lead me into the synthesis, and all the expected keyboards followed. Step sequencers entirely changed my mode of composition for many years, and I still incorporate those elements in my current workflow. I make music because I enjoy seeing the pleasure that a well-written melody or hot rhythm can bring to a dancer/listener.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
In the early 80's I was in a band that enjoyed minor success. We had two summer tours and then the drummers' wife got pregnant, and that was that. I got a 9 to 5 job, but music always was in my life.
Your musical influences
I have so many, and so many obscure, influences. The more mainstream ones would be Klaus Schulze, Jean Michael Jarre, pretty much anyone who was into creating innovative, avant-garde music.
What equipment do you use?
Oh boy. My DAW is Logic Pro. I have several midi controllers, an old Ensoniq ESQ2 that still drives my Yamaha CS50 ( I sold the CS80, ouch). Everything else comes from audio effects and everything in Logic, plus 3rd part plugins and VSTIs. Value is through the roof, I really don't know.
Anything else?
I pretty much follow my own road. My tracks can range from standard pop tunes to EDM and beyond. Whatever mood strikes me is what I write. Music is life to me.
