Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've been in various bands since I was in grade school in Virginia and Florida.
After moving to Ohio I have been in several R & B bands, notably "Idle Wind"
and "Satellite", in which we put out a successful single titled "You Can Drive My SpaceShip"
After a stint with Funk and R & B music, I returned to my true love: JAZZ.
I've been a solo artist for the last decade, playing across the country in concerts, clubs ect...
and lately promoting my Album "The Reinventment"
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes I play live, mostly locally in Cincinnati, where I currently live and produce in my studio.
There are many special moments. Some of the most rewarding are when I can see the reaction
of the audience and the feeling we get when are totally in the zone and everybody knows it!
Your musical influences
I've been influenced by a big variety of Artists, from old to younger. From Jazz, to Rock, R&B, Classical, Rap and Hip Hop. Oscar Peterson, to me is the ultimate pianist! His musicianship is
just phenomenal!
What equipment do you use?
When I gig live I use: Yamaha, Korg, and Roland keyboards.
In the studio I also use Hammond organs and Rhodes Electric piano's and Moog Synthesizers
Anything else?
I have a studio in Cincinnati, Ohio I call "Slaughter Sound Music," where I produce and record all my music and other Artists as well.
