After fifteen winters and fifteen suns, when the winds of creation shift once more, Lord B and Sara shall be called back into the same sacred circle. And when their paths converge again, the longslumbering spark shall awaken - not as a flicker, but as the echo of an ancient fire rekindled.
The magic, untouched by time, shall rise anew, as if guarded in silence by unseen forces awaiting the appointed hour.
From their union shall emerge not merely pop, rock, soul, r'n'b and jazzy songs, but a huge serie if living signs - pulses of pure energy and breath, fragments of legend given voice.
So it is written: when they return, life itself shall stir in the music again.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We were far apart, scattered to the winds and wrapped up in entirely different pursuits - yet fate, in its unquestionable wisdom, has brought us together once more. And the old magic? It was already there, untouched, waiting patiently for our triumphant return.
We began working together again, breathing new life into the ancient creatures of our craft, shaping new arrangements - and it was astonishing, utterly unexpected.
And perhaps now, at long last, we are truly ready to shake the very foundations of the globe itself.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
For eight years - from 2002 to 2010 - we played live like it was the last thing we’d ever do before dropping dead. And, well it was the most electrifying experience a musician could ever hope to live.
I’m not sure, though, if I could handle being on stage for all those hours now.
Your musical influences
I grew up chewing on the Beatles, Steely Dan, Moloko and Miles Davis - hopping around like a grasshopper from bebop to funk, soaking up chords, melodies and harmonies of every kind. Honestly, even I struggle to figure out where the hell the stuff I write actually comes from.
Sara, though - she’s pure genius, a musical soul. Music just pours out of her, untouched and unfiltered. Let’s just say I’m the one who steps in to season it and mess it up in all the right ways.
What equipment do you use?
Brain, heart, soul, hands, voices and a bunch of instruments and softwares.
Anything else?
