Durdy Boy resides in the southern area of the united states. Believes that music is the gateway to enlightenment depending on what your looking for. Born and raised in Tupelo,Ms was introduced to music at very young age hip hop at 6 wrote and performed his first vocals at age 12. Grew up in a rough neighborhood single mother lifestyle. Was introduced to production at 16 through his brother in law who was later killed in a drug deal this experience boosted his drive to accomplish and evolve in the hip hop music sceen. He first performed live at age 15 at a local June 10th festival with, big moe R.i.p, Olivia, Tank, Pretty Willie, then again at 26 with Gucci mane. Durdy Is a driving force for a revolutionary impact in the music scene he delivers a very powerful, and meaningfully lyrical concepts and ideas. Durdy Has recently been seen hitting the stage for Down south artist Like Haystakk, JellyRoll, Lil Wyte, Rich Boy, Q Dot Davis out of Birmingham and many more With his revolutionary rhymes, and outspoken words of truth and empowerment Has collaborated with one of the hottest upcoming artist out of Toledo, Ohio Sik Da Don Sikosa. Have you performed in front of an audience?
yes I have had many shows this past year. I had my first show at the age of 15 at a local juneteenth celebration were my biggest crowd so far was 2500 maybe and ive opened for gucci mane, Haystakk,out of tn and lil wyte, Memphis tn and a few others like pretty willie out of St. Louis and big Moe out of texas R.I.P. Olivia before she was G unit and I think that first show was my biggest most Special moment in my city of Tupelo for me
Your musical influences
I am my biggest. I look for my own truth my own knowledge of how to and when to to make things happen. I like artist but im not to fond of their characters theses days. DMac R.I.P my brother who put me on this game. I like tupac of course, Bob marley, peter tosh, my moms who just has a grind that cant be touched.
What equipment do you use?
Cubase 5 my baby love it. and fruity loops I'm simple basic dude but I love my work. to much fancy shit makes you feel bigger than you are.
