My names Drastikk. I've been rapping for atleast 15yrs. I am from Fayetteville, Nc and have a pretty decent following. I was offered a contract at one point but, everything that glitters isn't gold. So, here I am. Still doing it for the love. I have over 14hrs of music. Hopefully, you guys enjoy it!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started recording on a 4 track cassette recorder. Eventually, was able to get a PC decent enough to run software and from there on, it was CDS. I would record on a little radio shack mic and cool edit pro. I eventually jumped to Adobe Audition 1.5 where 15 plus years later, I am still using. Now things are much easier to get music out there. Back then, I was selling burnt CDs at parties, out of cars, you name it!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I've performed all over the east coast. From Miami, to Atlanta Georgia. My coolest memory was being at the MTV VMAS down in Miami and meeting everybody from Mobb Deep to Linkin Park. Good Times.
Your musical influences
My Fav group growing up was Bone thugs N harmony. I also love 3-6 mafia, and Do or Die and anything Death Row! I'm somewhat from the old school. Sometimes, you can hear that in my delivery. However, I do like a lot of current rappers. To me Lil Baby is dope..I rock with NBA Youngboy, Rittz, Yelawolf, Jelly Roll, Lil Wyte and a bunch more...
What equipment do you use?
Right now, I'm recording on a Yeti Blackout. Still using Adobe Audition 1.5 with my own set of effects I use.
