DramaCide Ridaz
We are the DramaCide Ridaz. We are artist flyin high out of the District of Corruption, Tha Murda Cap, D.C. U want fire we got it from hitz, to the essence of hip-hop and rap. We are striving to put our city on the map. We've been overlooked for too Damn long. The group consists of $moke Dawg Tha Don, Bo-De The General, Lil Diggadie, K-Bo, Calico, and JR Moneystacks an Elite Force in the DC underground scene, known for a feirce combination of styles and backgrounds. It started with $moke Dawg and Bo-De Back in '04 and spead like wildfire. Every member has his own unique story to tell. But when together we are a force to be reckoned with. With such bangers as "Fall Back" featuring Mr. Hook Murderer himself T-Pain, "Mine" a solo Track by $moke, "Lost Little Girl" a solo track by Bo-De, and "Keep It Kumin" just to name a few, DCR is destined to put a dent if not a hole in this tough industry.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
It all started with me($moke) and my brother BoDe tha General, we used to sit around as kids just rapping making up songs, then as we got older we realized we could go somewhere with our music so we got more serious about it. We used to hook up two radio's together one a cd player and one a tape recorder, put the beats made by lil Diggady on the cd player and record on the tape player.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yeah, we do live shows. We've done the Island Cafe numerous times, The Onyxx (I and II) for Love TV, The Rose Dream, The Tunnel, and from time to time I emcee at The Players Lounge aka Georgina's. There is nothin like giving and feeding off the crowds energy. I'm getting a rush just thinking about it.
Your musical influences
Tupac, Scarface, Jay Z, 50 cent, DJ Kool, WU Tang Clan, Man the list goes on and on. We got this game flowin all though our veins.
What equipment do you use?
we alternate between pro tools and fruity loops it all depends on what our producer is using.
