Andre Concepcion is a music producer from Indiana. Born in Chicago, Dre moved to Indiana when he was 4 to start a church. His father became a Christian rap artist as well as an assistant pastor, and inspired Dre is music from birth. At 7 years of age Andre and his sister and cousin were on the chorus, of United We Stand, and performed it with their father at a festival in Ohio. In 7th grade Dre got into music production from a program called GarageBand from his school issued iPads. He started doing it just to have fun, but stopped after a short while. Then he started rapping over instrumentals on Rapchat after his friend and artist BIG D started getting a lot of school fame from it. He would write the lyrics and then rap over their beats with nothing more than the iPad and some earbuds. In 8th grade he stopped rapping and got into producing again after discovering the program Looplabs on his computer. He started making lots of beats and would rush home to promote or make his beats, similar to one of his longtime favorites, Metro Boomin. He started promoting himself and was building a pretty good local fan base on Looplabs and SoundCloud when he started a partnership with RouteNote's moderation team to put his beats on Spotify, which is rarely seen. Now his instrumental album "Roses" is hitting hard to local rappers, and his drive and passion for music has made his fans grow stronger. His major instrumental hits include "Bape", "Effortless", and "BANG!".Have you performed in front of an audience?I dont really play live. I do enjoy the alone time to be able to really get into one good beat, even if it does take me a couple of hours.
Your musical influences
I have the typical influences in Drake, Future, etc. but I also like to listen to a wide variety of genres and artists. i enjoy rock like AC/DC Ozzy Ozborne, and the Raspberries. I enjoy other hip hop artists such as Lil Uzi Vert, Trippie Redd, Lil Yachty, and Aha Gazelle. I even listen to a little bit of R&B and Soul, my favorites including Bryson Tiller and Mali Music. But my biggest music influences include Lecrae and my own father, who was a hip hop artist as well. What equipment do you use?
I use Looplabs and GarageBand right now to make my instrumentals. But I've been trying out FL Studio and will be using it shortly.Anything else?
Be you, follow your dreams, and don,t let anyone tell you what your limit is.
