My name is Melvin Adams and go by the name of Doon Doon.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I began my love of music in high school. There I learned how to read and structure notes and play the clarinet, drum and piano. This passion developed into participating in a music group with some friends. There I learned to compose and produce music.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, I have played in front of a live audience. In the beginning I was nervous but the vibe and enthusiasm of the crowd gives me the energy and excitement to give them my best.
Your musical influences
Rakeem and KRS 1 were a huge influence in my early years. Their ability to construct music and the lyrics they created were like no other.
