Music has always been a big part of my life, I've loved music for as far back as i can remember & just like most people i have grow up listening to all kinds of different styles & artists over the years, like Madonna & Mikel Jackson to deaf leaped & iron maiden & all the other stuff in between. But i think the style you listen to & the one that sticks with you for life is when your in your teenage years 15-21 or there a bouts. That for me was when the club since was just starting to come alive thanks to e legal raves as they were called & artists like the prodigy who brought it into the public lime light. After realizing this 4 by 4 break beat dance/rave stuff was defiantly the shit for me, In 1995 I got my self a set of decks & progressed in to being a bedroom DJ & after years of practice & promoting my self i got up to club level & the opportunity to play in local night clubs. The DJ'ing for me peaked in 1999 - 2001 when i got to play at the ZONE witch was a venue i had listened to through out my school days, So i had nothing left to aim for so i sold my record collection & kitted my self out with a load of music equipment i had know idea how to use, but just like the decks i set about it & here I am & this is the result so have a listen & see what you think...
What equipment do you use?
Technics SL-1200/1210 MK-5G Technics Class-H SA-DV290 Citronic DJ Pro-8 Pioneer CDJ-2000s Pioneer DJM-800 Yamaha PSR Roland MC-909 Roland SP-808 intel i7 2600k self built Computer & All The Music Software You Can Think Of.
Anything else?
I started out as a bed room Dj in 1995 after making allot of tapes & CD's to try & promote my self I soon got in to the night clubs, But after 7 or 8 years i started to get board of Dj'ing & I was as good as I was ever gonna get & had archived what I set out to do, which meant there was nothing left for me to aim for any more, So I needed a new direction to go in & the only thing I had left as far as music was concerned was music production, instead of playing the music I'll make the music so I sold all my Italian House records in 2002 for the best part of 7,500 & set up my own recording studio, even thou I didn't have a clue about making music or how to use the equipment, I didn't even know what equipment I would need for making music, apart from a PC but I never had a PC & hadn't used one since school & even then I wasn't paying attention. But I thought fuck it you only live once, so after a couple of month I had got my self :- Roland SP-128 control keyboard. Roland MC-303 Groove Box. Roland SP-808 Groove Sampler. Yamaha PSR keyboard. Time Computer All the Power & Audio leads 300 Worth of Software It took me another month just to work out how to connect it all together & about a year to get my head round how it all worked, I ended up doing a crash course in music production & performance @ the school of sound recording in Manchester just to get some idea of how to use the equipment & the general theory of how music is produced. I got there in the end & produced my first track in 2005, It was a load of shit mind you but it was a start, the start of a long journey witch will probably never end coz fuck me theirs allot to learn I'm still learning now. I've since sold all my hardware apart from the Yamaha keyboard witch I use to control the PC's plug-ins & a 3 Mixing desks for everything to run in & out of the computers, I just use a couple of PC's for making music now it's the best way as long you've got good software & don't mind spending hours fucking about learning shit & reading allot more shit then the possibility's are endless. Most of the tunes I've made or remixed were made on a PC some were made using External hardware but the best part of them were made on a desktop PC, Here is the list of all the software I've used over the years to make music with:- MAGIX MUSIC MAKER PRO MAGIX AUDIO LAB SONY SOUND FORGE FL STUDIO CUBASE ACID PRO N-TRACKS ABOUT 350 PLUG-INS So have a listen to some of them in the song player & let me know what you think weather it's good or bad feedback I don't mind,Well you've herd all my shit so I'm gonna shut up & fuck off & let you listen to the tunes........
