Dhntuyi Ayuba, professionally known as DeeClave (formerly Smart Dee), is a Nigerian Afro-fusion artist, songwriter, and creative visionary recognized for blending emotional storytelling with energetic Afrobeat rhythms and street-inspired melodies.
Born and raised in Nigeria, DeeClave’s life story reflects resilience, ambition, and transformation. He lost his mother, Victoria Ayuba, in 2014 at a young agean experience that deeply shaped his outlook on life and music. Growing up through difficult circumstances, he turned to music as both an escape and a voice, using it to express real-life struggles, hope, and determination.
From an early age, DeeClave showed a strong passion for rhythm, songwriting, and performance. Influenced by the vibrant sound of African music culture, he began crafting songs that speak directly to everyday realitieshustle, survival, dreams, and personal growth. His style blends Afrobeats, street-hop, and conscious Afro-fusion, creating music that is both relatable and uplifting.
Through consistent independent releases, DeeClave gradually built an organic fanbase across digital platforms including Audiomack, YouTube, SoundCloud, Instagram, and TikTok.
