Dear Cousin Muscles

In a world where hardcore and screamo dominate, Dear Cousin Muscles has risen above to create a mix of punk inspired, pop infused melodies with vocals that compliment like a mint on your hotel room pillow
Band/artist history
Well at first me(nick) and wooter were in the band Easy Out which only lasted for 4 months before it fell apart, but in that time Wooter and i were already in the process of writing new songs for Easy Out and since we didn't want to give up or let them songs go to waste we put the final touches on the songs and made recordings of them. After a couple of months of doing that and receiving positive feedback from friends and others we made the decision to take what we were doing and make it an actual band...and to stop myself from making this story any longer we ended up with our very good friend/old drummer from a while back Rob and Sven the bassist off the ol' faithful craigslist.....Kenny can come too.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes. We'll play anywhere you'll have us. It has its moments. No special ones just yet.
Your musical influences
we are highly influenced by the bands we saw go from nothing, touring in vans that broke down at least once in every town they played only to be playing in places like the house of blues to a sold out crowd with absolutely no help from Mtv. bands like Bouncing Souls and Nofx, The Vandals, Lagwagon. These bands inspire us and have paved a path for us, other than that we're just having fun writing our songs, playing them for our friends and if we're lucky one or two new strangers.
What equipment do you use?
Shure Mics, Fender Basses, Ludwig Kits, Hartke, Line 6, Epiphone, Dan Electro, and Ibanez guitars.
Anything else?
