Damien Byrne, original guitarist and Founding member of Cincinnati's hardcore/ metal groups TourniKueT, and more recently NekroTrip, is working harder than ever. Damien breaks away from the NekroTrip scene and is focusing his attention on his new band, VERTICAL COFFINS. Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Damien formed the band TourniKueT with Cincinnati local musician, Mosh. The band released a few demos and performed a few shows before, in 2009, becoming NekroTrip. Damien and the band did a few performances promoting NekroTrip's new material, even including an acoustic performance at East End Cafe, in Cincinnati Ohio. Now, Damien breaks away from the NekroTrip scene and is focusing his attention on his new band, VERTICAL COFFINS. "Pantera's Dimebag Darrell, John 5, Randy Rhoads, Kirk Hammett, many other greats. There's really too many to name."
What equipment do you use?
"I use strictly Schecter Diamond Series guitars, Randall Amplifiers, Boss and MXR pedals, KUSTOM PA system, and Behringer Eurorack mixers."
