DaLiSh

DaLiSh is the stage name of Daniel Littner Shaw, a multi-talented experimental composer and songwriter. His current material is mostly lo-fi piano based vignettes that incorporate drum-machines and other sound effects. Hailing from and residing in a suburb of Philadelphia, DaLish is hard at work, kneading the dough that is to become his first EP, cleverly entitled Deezy Pee.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Dalish has been interested in music his entire life. He grew up listening to classic rock such as The Beatles, The Who, Zeppelin, and others. He has also been exposed to many different varieties of music, from Chopin to Elvis, to Dan Deacon, to Yanni, to Phillip Glass, to Green Day, and beyond. He loves all of them. His style of playing is not yet reformed and still being molded, as he searches for new tools and new sounds. He predicts his releases will be ever changing, just like the rest of everything that has ever and will ever exist.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
DaLiSh has had one gig ever, and sucked it hard. He will probably spend the next few years indoors practicing so the next event is not as painful.
