I've been a DJ since my last band broke up, I decided that it was easier to work on my own than with a large group (My last band was a 10-piece Ska group)
That would make it about 7 years, working parties, clubs, and bars.
I spin mostly house/trance, 80's new wave, and old school hip hop, but I've done many other styles as well. I've recently gotten into doing mash-ups and love it.
My live mixes can be heard here -

Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, any chance I get. Lately I've been doing a series of live shows in Hot Topic stores around Central New Mexico, and they're a lot of fun. I used to have a residency at a bar in Albuquerque, but due to disagreements with the owner, I no longer spin there. I spin house parties all the time, and special events for a lot of automotive events.
Your musical influences
My biggest influences as a DJ would have to be Geoff Barrows, Dj Shadow, DJ Krush, Girl Talk, John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, and Phunck Master Bandit. Overall musically, Portishead, New Order, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Echo & The Bunnymen, Adam and the Ants, Oingo Boingo...
What equipment do you use?
Alienware computers, Virtual DJ software, Razer, Belkin, Klipsch Speakers, Sony, ION, Technics
