Believe it or not, I was recently referred to this site by someone I met at the laundromat not too long ago!

I can never properly classify the things I make. It is all a culmination of various influences over the years since childhood. I generally just refer to my genre as "synth music", as all of my tracks are made with synthesizer VSTs. Many of the people I've shared my creations with have even referred to it as "video game music".

My DAW of choice is FL Studio.

The only real "formal musical training" I have, is playing cello in orchestra class between 6th grade and 10th grade in school, which didn't go into much detail other than scales and reading some notes. I haven't really looked into music theory, as I find it better to just go with the flow.

The "Ambivalence" playlist consists of various improv that I couldn't come up with a good name for.

I do almost everything on my own from scratch; from the synthesizers I use, to the images I use. I use various samples/packs for the drums and many effects, because I'm terrible at making percussive sounds and sound effects..

I primarily use the "Vital" VST, and it can be obtained for free at https://www.vital.audio. Vital is a wavetable synthesizer that, given enough tinkering, is quite powerful.

Have you performed in front of an audience?

I highly doubt I could pull off a live performance. I lack the necessary equipment, connections, skillsets and overall experience.
