Hi, Im m Jessica aka CybrG or Cybrgps..Im new to production, rapping and beat making but am slowly building my song portfolio and experience, and I love music. I used to do covers, but realized it really wasnt as fulfilling as creating my own audio, and learning what works for me musically. I can sing pretty good, but not at the top, and I can rap, pretty good but not at the top..I found if I combine both skills I can produce something thats much better.
Some time ago I used to be with a turntablist, DMC champion, to who listened to hip hop non stop. I would watch him rap and scratch but never really tried it. Much later I started creating my own music on BandLab and was amazed that I could produce something so awesome on my own. So I kept it going and have stuff all over the place as I get into production in a variety of styles.
Ive only scratched records at a party when the other scratchers were on a break. I looked up and realized I had a whole crowd gathered around me to listen, it was super fun. The rest is all online.
As far as hip Hop..Nas, Talib Kwali, Tribe, a lot of 80s old school stuff. Im really into a lot of different music though, ie: jazz, punk, world, Latin, etc.
As of now, just rudimentaryphone, iPadbut I am hooking up my Mac as I didnt use it for some time. Im playing with some online daws, ie: BandLab, etc. but Im trying to elevate and maybe get into Ableton. I also just started relearning garage band.
Im just starting getting into mixing and production a bit more, playing with compressors and amps, and vocal presets. If anyone wants to say hi feel free. I always answer, time allowing.
