Chop's Rag Chop's Rag
This was the short little 'break' tune we played prior to taking our 10 min. break each hour. This is the version played before saying 'good-night' after every gig.
The was formed from the remnants of the bar (Tucson, AZ) the first weekend of that year; this was after, , had just completed a year of grueling duty there.
The band was comprised of:
Tom Enochs - Guitar/Vocals
Andy Barry - Bass/Vocals
Marcus T - Drums/Backup Vocals
The group later expanded into a 4, and sometimes 5 piece arrangement, and was later renamed the .
Band/artist history
At the invitation of, , Andy & Tom joined in a reunion set with on New Years Eve 1986. Both Andy and Tom are alumni of the group and familiar with the repertoire; that night's atmosphere and sound were awesome and we all had a blast!
After the party was over, Roger told us it was CactusLand's last night, after having played a solid year there at the "V". If we were interested, the bar owner was interested in booking us.... good grief, the easiest gig we ever walked into. Tom and I thought it over very dutifully and carefully and within 30 secs said... " ok, I guess so" Oh my, when the reality set in the next day, we scrambled to find a drummer to work with... the pickings were few. Fortunately, someone (Roger?) steered Marcus T. onto us.
Here it was, as you can imagine, we had less than a week to put a show together and rehearse about 40 tunes to carry us through the night. But somehow we managed to pull it off! Tom and Marcus T. were magnificent and I owe them a big thanks for their support and efforts that made it all work out.
The band played in the general Tucson, AZ USA vicinity and traveled to many outlying communities to bring cheer and relief to the miserable masses, through the joy of their music.

Have you performed in front of an audience?

Your musical influences
Everybody else we ever heard.
What equipment do you use?
I played bass on a Rickenbacker Model 3000 through an Ampeg B25B head. Output was to a Traynor speaker cabinet with 2 15" woofers. Later I acquired a Arai Pro II Precise bass and switched between the two frequently.
Anything else?
As the years have gone by, I've fallen out of touch with some of the folks I've worked and partied with. Let's hear from you!
Any former band members out there? I'd like to get back in touch with you.
Any friends and fans?... I'd like to hear from you as well. You guys made it all worthwhile!!
