Cooper Rayson
Former front man and lyricist for the music festival playing group I=nterlaken, Cooper Rasyon declared his independence from the group on July 4th, 2008. As a solo artist, Cooper is able to bring together various groups of musicians on different projects to accomplish the common goal of creating something special. No longer constricted by what the other band members were willing and able to do, Cooper has been able to create a sound more suited to his sonorous voice punctuated by powerfully poetic lyrics that resonate with the rhythms of the soul.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I have had the opportunity to play gigs at a wide variety of events...from hookah bar/coffee houses to large festivals such as the Florida Music Festival.
Your musical influences
I have been influenced by everyone and everything. From Amadeus to Ziggy. From Classical to Rock. From Bluegrass to Hip Hop. From Gospel to Jazz. From London Beats to Tokyo Streets. It's all in there somewhere. Perhaps in a drum track...perhaps in an inflection of the voice or a particular chord progression...or perhaps simply in the visual imagery and mood of the song.
