I started freestyling when I was graduating junior high school. My brother took me to this party in Scarborough, Ontario where I saw these scary guys, all gang members freestyling. They were cyphering and had this boton looking thing and passed it around to who ever wanted to take center stage in the circle. I had never seen anybody do that live, only on TV and I just fell in love with the art form. From that day on I started making up rhymes, challenging myself to see how good I am but, I was never as good as those guys. Now a days I have more practice and have had much more experiences that I can bust some lyrics anytime.Have you performed in front of an audience?I've done it live before, now I just concentrate on school and work, but of course I'm always game for some live performances.
Your musical influences
I love old school hip hop, conscious and storytelling. Common, Mos Def, The Roots, Outkast, The Fugees...etc.
Latin Music has influenced me a lot and will for the rest of my life. My dad was a Union Leader so I've listened to my share of protest music.What equipment do you use?
