Christopher G Bowling

Born to a family of musicians, Chris has always had the passion of music coursing through his veins. Starting at the age of 13, Chris picked up a guitar and learned anything he could by listening and watching his father, grandfather and anyone else who picked up a stringed instrument. Coming from a heavy bluegrass background Chris has spent the last 16 years expanding his personal range and tastes in music. Being solely self taught, the music created by this artist is quite impressive. Being dubbed "the Riff Master" by some, Chris's ability to compose exciting riffs on the guitar is simply unmatched. Chris's current goal is to create an easy listening rock sound that anyone of any age or background can enjoy while continuing to add to his Acoustic/Bluegrass Repertoire.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
It's just me, always has been. On these tracks I play all guitar and bass parts and recorded them myself. Sure, I've played in "bands" before but, if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I've played live locally a lot in bars and restaurants but, just don't have much time any more. It's easier to sit at home and create tracks by myself.
Your musical influences
Tony Rice, Steve Vai, Frank Zappa, Joe Satriani, Dave Mustaine, Marty Friedman, Bill Monroe, Ricky Scaggs, and the list goes on.
What equipment do you use?
Martin acoustic, Ibanez electric and Line 6 amps with BOSS recording equipment.
