Rooted in Scripture. Fueled by Spirit. Written from the Heart.
Ive been writing lyrics since the 1970s. Back then, it was just me, a notebook, and a prayer. I didnt have access to instruments, formal lessons, or studios. What I had was a deep love for musicand an even deeper love for Jesus. That was enough.
I was raised in poverty, but rich in imagination. Music became my way of praying out loud, telling stories, and processing the joys and heartbreaks of life. Over time, songwriting became my ministry. Its how Ive spoken to God, how He has spoken to me, and how I hope to speak to you.
My sound? Its not manufacturedits grown. Its spiritual, sometimes country, sometimes folk, often meditative. It can be joyful or raw, reverent or reflective. But its always anchored in the Word. Youll find themes of redemption, healing, wilderness seasons, second chances, and quiet miracles. Youll hear the voice of someone whos seen suffering but clung to hope. Someone whos still believing for breakthroughfor herself and for you.
I write with scripture in one hand and experience in the other. Im not afraid to tell the truth in my songsbecause God is in the truth. Whether Im singing about forgiveness, freedom, grief, grace, or the ache of waiting, I do it with a prayer that my words will be a balm to someone elses soul.
Lyrics as Testimony
Each song I write is a piece of my journey. Some are inspired by personal pain or loss. Others are sparked by a verse, a dream, or a quiet whisper from the Lord. Every lyric is offered up as a gift, a testimony, a seed. I believe songs can be seedsplanted deep in hearts, watered by tears, and grown by the Spirit into something healing, something holy.
Who I'm Singing For
Im writing for the misfits. The seekers. The ones who feel too broken, too late, or too lost to sing their own song. Im writing for the moms, the caregivers, the caregivers of caregivers. For the prodigals and the ones who never gave up praying for them. For anyone whos been overlooked, underestimated, or told their voice doesnt matter.
You matter here.
My music isnt about performance. Its about presence. I want to remind people that God sees them. That no season is wasted. That even when our hearts feel forgotten, God is still writing our song.
My Hope
I hope these lyrics make you pause. Make you pray. Make you feel less alone. Maybe theyll remind you of an old hymn or help you cry the tears youve been holding in. Maybe theyll nudge you to pick up your own pen, or speak the words youve been afraid to say.
