Chris A Butler
Chris Butler is a bit of a reborn rocker!
A stalwart of the 1980s and 1990s Leeds music scene in bands such as The Necklace and Hangman's Smile, he has recently returned to song-writing and Very Soon represents his first visit to the studio since the days of Tascam four-tracks and egg-boxes!
Very Soon is a major departure from the jangly indie-rock of the early days and is very much a soft-rock ballad. Written for and inspired by his partner :)

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I'll get round to this because it may take some time!
Your musical influences
I was one of the original goths back in the 80s but my influences are many and varied and the song I have posted here will not be what any of my old listeners would EVER expect
What equipment do you use?
Whatever I can get my hands on in the studio, being a singer, it makes little difference. I also use a Hofner Vienna acoustic, a generic 12 string, an Audition Strat from the 70s and Precision type Bass - I am moderately bad with all of them! My son Jack is a way better guitar player!
