ChaIned And Shackled Official

ChaIned And Shackled is Johnny Chains. Formed in 2006, Chains got right to work on his debut full-length, a year later in summer of 2007 "The Apparition" was released. The debut had two highly successful singles titled "Brain Damage" and "Alienation" charted very well and the third single "Rip Out My Heart [New Age Ecstacy]" fell just short of charting. After a two year layoff, Chains is getting back to work on his sophomore release titled "The Devil's Hymn". It promises to be his best work to date.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started this project when my last band was falling on hard times in 2006. It's been a genre of music that I've loved forever but never had the chance to play, so it was the perfect time. Here we are three years later and I'm going stronger than ever and it's now my main thing. I'm proud of it.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Haven't played live. I wouldn't rule it out though. The new music is very able to be played live, but I'm in no hurry because I currently have a lot on my plate before I worry about that.
Your musical influences
All over the board really from Kenny Wayne Shepherd to Alice in Chains to Celldweller. My religion is a huge influence on me as well.
What equipment do you use?
Schecter Gryphon 7 guitar, Raven amplifiers, FL Studio 8, Audix mics, Gibson guitars, BOSS guitar pedals.
Anything else?
If you haven't check out CS yet and you're interested in what it sounds like, well, this new music would be great for fans of Marazene, Helltrash, VentanA, Bile, Rob Zombie, Wednesday 13, and things of that nature.
