Felt Like Jammin Felt Like Jammin
A short funky 8 beat piece with drums, bass rhythm and lead guitar all in single takes, just a little fun

Hello World Hello World
An instrumental excercise playing with some new equipment in 2006.
I started playing bass in 1971 and guitar in 1973. Along the way I was fortunate to play along side some great musicians. The rest of my high school band went pro. I wanted more certain income. My wife started flute and upright bass lessons in school and played bass professionally in a road band. Together we pretty much cover it all including drums, keyboards, vocals and of course guitar and bass. In recent years I have sought to return to glory days and found the new equipment is an absolute dream compared to when I got started. Now we are having fun creating and exploring.
Band/artist history
We came, we saw, we bought lots of toys. Now we should record something so we don't feel like commercial schmucks who emptied their wallets for shiney things.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
If we could hook up with some friends, maybe. Mostly it's a creative outlet and part of who we are we don't want to let go. We both used to play live.
Your musical influences
Steely Dan, Joe Satriani, Carlos Santana, Jeff Beck, Al DiMeola, Jimmy Page, Jose Vazquez, Yes and jazz like Weather Report, Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Wes Montgomery. I also was inspired by Django Reinhardt, Hendrix and big band like Count Basie and Duke Ellington. I also listen to classical like Sheherazade and Bolero.
What equipment do you use?
My chief ax is a Line 6 Variax 600 through a POD X3 Live. Effectively that is over 25 guitars, nearly 100 amps and 100 stomp boxes. I also have a Takamine EG-523SC aoustic and an L6-S. Keyboards compliments of Yamaha PSR-S700 and a microKorg on order for analog and vocorder. We have several basses with the Variax being the primary. Currently I'm going into a Zoom MRS-1608 studio and tying everything together with MIDI. That gives us a lot of voices and tracks.
Anything else?
Thanks to Jose Vazquez for turning me on to this as well as being a great guy to play with way back when we were at sea together in the Navy. Check out his tunes here.
