It would be hard to find a new act with more buzz than Carmen & Camille. As Vancouver’s newest and hottest pop-rock duo, they burst onto the scene with their debut album Two, combining energetic power pop ballads and roots melodies. But this is no ordinary indie pop combo - their soaring vocal harmonies, paired with Camille’s electric guitar and Carmen’s flute playing makes for an album rooted in rock while drawing influences from genres across the board.
Twin sisters Carmen and Camille have been playing and writing their own music together since they were five years old. They have been playing US venues from New York to Los Angeles as well as touring Europe. Most recently, songs from Two have been featured on MTV hit shows such as The Hills, My Super Sweet 16, and Next as well as winning VMTV’s Battle of the Bands contest in support of the network’s new hit show Kaya. Additionally, the girls have garnered much attention in the US being featured in Stuff Magazine, Elle Girl, and Billboard.com as part of a six-week video series showcasing their amazing live sets and personal life.
