CHALI CON
The Con has been part of Philly's underground hip hop community since the mid 80's. Born in North Philly, Jewtown and raised at 7 on the hustling and gangster mantality streets of South Philly.
Too young to attend rap shows, he would get in anyway to see the legends at the Wynne in Wynnefield. True to rap songs & culture from legends ranging from "Schooly D" and "Fresh Prince" to "Rakim" embraced his style from life to lyrics.
Ask any real head in Philly about who's who when asking about "The Con" aka "lil Chali Mack", aka "Chali Con" and their bound to tell you, don't sleep on The Con's way of getting it in. Featured on the Album "Random Access Money" released by (Jcor Interscope/Universal)Ram Squad, from the notorious Richard Allen projects. Teaming up with his Co-Producing partner for 15 years Big Dev of the LSD production click which steers many up & young coming talent from producers to artists.
The Con keeps putting out pieces for the real gangsta heads to nod to, ranging from a Hi end perspective of life breaking it down to the common man about what it takes to survive on these Philly streets.
Worked w/ many artists such as Mac Dub of the Roots Crew, Jamal, 40, Ali (Bumbaye), CaVawn, Don Khalif,Tommy Hill, Boy Backs, Gobe Raw, Sofadek, Squirt and many more.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?

I love all them heads out there.
Your musical influences
I don't know I guess somebody from the old school would have to distinguish what era influences me.As far as instruments I like a few type of sounds and orchestrated music loops and replaying samples with a bass rumble and hard kick or snares. Serious tone or very defined without giving it away it has to catch you and keep drawing you within the content.
What equipment do you use?
Ahhh.... I think you should talk to Big Dev about that because he may not want everybody to know how we make our music at this point.
Anything else?
I will always try to keep a certain tune popping on the net for any thorough listeners and real A&R's- Big Up.. Dino from Universal! If you still there. Eppy Big Ep Linda Creed's husband (R.I.P.)
