Byron Erwin
Hello, I hope you enjoy the music that I've created.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've played in four professional groups and a couple of weekend warriors bands.
My first band was a band some friends and I started in high school named Candle Light Safari. We played mostly parties, college campus, frat, and bar gigs.
After a three years with them I joined a band called Quesst. A funk dance band. We played alot of Auditoriums and Festivals, as well college campus gigs. Even had a potential record deal with Epic but never happened.
Then I played with a country group named Russlle/Stowers. We played the Auditoriums and made a couple of videos for CMT. But I'm just not a big country music fan, so I had to leave the band.
Finally I played in a band named Katerra. A funk rock band. We played locally but made probably the best music I've ever written with a group.
Now I produce and write music on my own.
Your musical influences
My influences come from my wife and kids and the world around me.
What equipment do you use?
I use a Korg Triton Pro, Reason 4.0, and Sonar 6
