Bryn Smyth Music
My name is Bryn Smyth. I am a song writer, and I play guitar and bass (bass being my principle instrument). I mostly play rock, metal, funk and jazz, but able to play almost anything. I have a Cert IV, Diploma and Bachelor of Music Performance and Graduate Diploma of Secondary Education.
This account is for my solo work and demos; for fun.

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Been playing bass since 2000AD, and guitar on and off since the same time. Gained experience playing at high school and doing some recording sessions (few are professional). Played many gigs with many different bands over the years. Recorded an EP with Escape Radio (formerly Amusica). Currently doing my solo work.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Have gigged around Melbourne with few bands, but not much lately. Never performed my solo work outside of uni.

What equipment do you use?
Ibanez BTB406, Gallien-Kreuger head and 4x10 cabinet, DR strings, EHX Stereo Memory Man w/ Hazari and Big Muff Pi Bass, DOD envelope filter, Boss Bass Overdrive and Flanger, MXR Bass Compressor and Phase 100, and Dunlop Cry Baby bass wah.
