Boomie

The only one doing it like this from my city.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
All this really started at my grandmas crib in Toronto back when I was 14. Me and my cousin Rio would freestyle in the living room over any instrumental off youtube, and would throw random words at each other to use mid freestyle to make it more difficult. A few months later I invested into a low budget microphone so we would be able to listen back to our freestyles because we noticed how sharp and creative we were getting with our flows and wordplay. After about a year of horrible sounding mixes, the home engineered songs finally started to sound alright. We started banging out plenty of song but they got released. In 2018 I put out my first single on Soundcloud called "Basement" which symbolized the rough living situation I was going through in the midst of putting together this idea of becoming a hip hop artist (Go check it out). I wouldn't say my music has changed over the years but with the consistent late night recording sessions I fine tuned my music into what it sounds like today.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I did a last minute live show in Downtown Toronto on November 12th and it was a dope experience for sure. The crowd felt the songs I put on display and to be honest it went a lot better than I expected. The energy had my blood moving in ways I never felt before! With that being said if the right opportunities knock i'm definitely rocking out.
Your musical influences
A lot of my music is influenced by the circumstances I go through in life. It could be a feeling or even something I had to experienced. I've always been in my own world so as messed up as it sounds, I was never really influenced by anybody.
What equipment do you use?
It's not a secret, but i'm going to save this answer for a setup reveal on youtube where i'll walk all my supporters through the technical side of things. Make sure you head over to my vlog channel on youtube if you would like to see what I use for my home recording sessions.
Anything else?
Nobody can stop me.
