Black Steel Rose
Welcome to the Black Steel Rose experience. A journey to a new and refreshing world of music. We are a alternative/rock band based out of Los Angeles. Our music is about the reality of life, and our mission is to help the better the entire community of people in this country.
Our sound is a mix between old school 80's rock and the music of today. You could say we are a hybrid between Journey and Linkin Park, or The Police and 30 Second to Mars. However you depict it, it is good music!!!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes we do. You have to check us out live. Our album is good, but live is even better. We have experiences performing nationally and internationally, but recently we have been performing all over Southern California. We love it.
Your musical influences
We have rock, r&b, pop, and even some hip-hop influences. We mix distortion guitars with lead synths, and live drums with programmed loops with big 808s. Vocals usually are very smooth, but they do get more harsh on some songs, "My Apt," for instance. Musical influences are Duran Duran, Sting, Darryl Hall and John Oates, and Lenny Kravitz, Foo fighters, Linkin Park and Journey.
What equipment do you use?
Production: Pro Tools 7 Digi 002, Motif, Fantom, Reasons, MPC, NI Instruments, and other software. Live guitar and bass.
