Bakari Music

Bakari Music is the up and coming musical powerhouse created by David Bakari Daniels, a young visionary hailing from so many different cities. Born in Newark, New Jersey, I have lived in St. Louis, Loma Linda California, New York, And Alabama. I've been so many different places that I deccided to take a little something from everywhere I've lived and apply it to my writing and most importantly my music. I have had the rare opportunity to experience life on all coasts of the country so I know what it takes to tap into each an every market. I handle everything solo. Production, writing, promotion, performances, I do it all. Can't wait for anyone I gotta get out there now!

I do play live around town and I love every minute of it. More than that, I enjoy meeting new people. I had to opportunity to meet Mary J Blige in Atlanta at her Heart of the City tour stop with my favorite rapper of all time, Jay Z.

My musical influences vary greatly. I appreciate old school hip hop, like Jay Z (when he did Reasonable Doubt, his most classic album in my opinion). People like LL Cool J, and EPMD, Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambataa, Common, Erykah Badu, Timbaland, Tupac, I pull something from every artist that I listen to so yoou could say my influence is anyone I hear, both famous and unsigned.
