Brakada Consists of 2 Brothers - Mikal and Lahcing.
The brothers began pursuing their passion for making music in 1997.
They are the sound of the north. The east has it?s distinct sound as does the West and South. Brakada?s home is Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The gateway to the East and to the West.
Brakada adds a very unique element to Hip Hop. Their sound is the harmony of those artist before them who have influenced their style. With an impressive flow, smooth sound, sick rhymes, and tracks you won't forget, Brakada has quickly earned the respect and admiration of many fans.

Chosen to perform for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Celebration
Brakada was chosen as the Best Live Act by Uptown Magazine for their performance at the 2001 Peg City Holla.
Opened for Hip Hop pioneers Naughty By Nature.
Performed at the 1st ever No Dolla Holla
Performed at the Sport Compact Nights Winnipeg
Performed and Mc'd North Dakota?s 1st ever import car show in Fargo, USA.
Opened for East Coast artist Classified and other Canadian Acts
Rocked crowds in an annual outdoor event in the USA @ Red Lake Falls, MN 3 years running.
Participated in the Hip Hop Helps too Tsunami Relief fundraiser.
Brakada?s Track ?Age of the New? features in The Hip Hop Peg City compilation CD.
Played in venues at various location all over Winnipeg, as well as Montreal and Vancouver.
Songs played on campus radio 95.9 fm and 101.5 fm
