B. Franklin
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've been involved in music since I was 11 years old, I'm 23 now. I was first introduced to the creative side of music when my father purchased some turntables and a mixer for me, or as I put it then, a "DJ set" and I was hooked ever since. I started making beats when I was in the 7th grade on a very cheep program on a very cheep computer. The programs name I've since forgotten. I started pouring money into the music when I was about 16 when I purchased a computer specifically for music creation and a pair of M-Audio monitors. I was featured on Myspace's Top 10 artists for a very long while with over a thousand plays a day. I "Produced" my first record at the age of 17 and haven't looked back since.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Do I play live? No. I do however play with the piano but no where near as good as some of my friends.
Your musical influences
I'm influenced by innovators. These innovators span the time from Mozart to today's top producers.
What equipment do you use?
I'v let go of all my hardware and stuck to software. I use Reason to produce, Ableton Live to mix, and ProTools to record.
