Apex Prog Project

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started learning guitar when I was 14. By age 16 I was experimenting with riffs and music composition. I did a few attempts at songwriting, but it wasn't until recently, at age 28, when I really found my niche in instrumental progressive rock. In mid-2014, Apex was born.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I've played live as Apex only once, but I intend to do so again in the near future. People enjoyed it and I even drew a small crowd away from another venue, so that was cool.
Your musical influences
70s symphonic prog (Yes, Genesis, etc.), 80s neo-prog (IQ, Pendragon, etc.), Rush, Saga, video game composers, most notably Yasunori Mitsuda and Nobuo Uematsu.
What equipment do you use?
Epiphone Les Paul, Marshall amp, Fender Frontman amp and Acer Aspire laptop with guitar pro for backing tracks.
