All In Music

My name is David (GOLIATH!/Big Slick). I'm looking forward to making great music with other artist. I want to produce other artist records. I do plan to do my own solo record eventually, some where down the line. I am more interested (right now) in getting my music heard, on mixtapes, or albums. I want to be CEO of my own record company, with plans for other business ventures to spin off of that (i.e. clothing line, restaurants, clubs, movies, etc.). First and foremost is creating my branch in hip-hop. From there, I can plant my own tree and branch out to make even more moves. Whatever it takes! I am new in the game, but very egar to make my mark in the hip-hop culture. If you are serious about making the best music possible, I would love to get together and put it together and put it out.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I was born in San Diego. Then I moved to the Bay Area when I was 15. I've spent half of my life running around in the streets of San Diego, and now currently reside in the Bay Area. I started learning and making music in 2000 at Foothill College. I also went to Cogswell Polytechnical College for a year, and took recording classes there. Then I went back to Foothill College for more music business classes.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
No, I don't really play any instruments. I go off of feeling and emotion.
Your musical influences
My influences are from my life, friends and family, all aspects of life (love, pain, partying, memories, etc), politics, enviroment, state of the world, state of the homeland, 70's, 80's, 90's, to present music. From Zapp & Roger to Tom Petty and Journey to 90's Death Row to Rocafella records. My favorite producers are Dr.Dre, Swizz Beats, Timbaland, Neptunes, Kanye West, Just Blaze, Manny Fresh, Heatmakers and myself. My influences in the business side are Jay-Z, Dame Dash, Cam'ron, Jim Jones, Diddy, Russell Simmons, people like that. Artist wise Jay-Z, 2Pac, Biggie, Shyne, Kanye West, Beanie Sigel, Kurupt, Ludacris, Eminem, Outkast, Snoop Dogg, Usher, T.I., Jadakiss, The LOX, Bun B, Three 6 Mafia, Cam'ron and The Diplomats. New artist I like are Slim Thug, Young Jeezey, Game, Bobby Valentino, Trey Songs, Jamie Foxx, and NE-YO. There are a lot more, but I don't want to go on and on.
What equipment do you use?
I work with Macs and PCs. I make my beats with ACID 7 Pro, SoundForge 8, MPC 1000, and a nice size loop library...
Anything else?
My music is versatile. I like changing styles on every song I make. I like the challenge. From some slow, dark, deep thinking music, spittin' some heavy metaphors and punchlines, story-telling, slow-jam R&B, to the club, dance, ass shaking music, and everything in between that. I want to do it all. I don't like doing the same thing over and over again, it's boring. I have many influences, but I don't think I sound quite like anyone thats out. No disrespect to anyone. I like people well known to unknown. It's just that no one does yourself like yourself. I want everyone to be able to vibe to the music. If you can relate something in your life to the music, and just be like damn that's how I felt, feel, agree or disagree, whatever it means to you, that's cool. Just close your eyes and just feel it out. This is "All In Music" from the WEST COAST! with a lot more coming...!! "I got that knock for the block / The heat for the streets / That good for the hood / and something for all the freaks / ..."
