Florida Composer Alex Jenkins, has created an exceptional library, perfect for several genres. His long soundbeds can be spooky, spacey and edgy for time travel, Sci Fi futuristic films, or psychedelic madness, epic trailer or film score music. Other music focuses on the aftermath of disasters like Darfur, Haiti, tsunamis or the evil of mankind. Alex's Middle Eastern tracks, filled with unusual SFX and music elements and the Korg drum, are tribal yet tender. His emotional music builds with cinematic tension, expressing world sorrow that rips your heart out!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Around 1995 or so I started to write songs. Then stopped, and resumed around 2004.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Would like to if I can gather musicians willing to work with my concept.
Your musical influences
Really I have no influences. But the electronic scene, and lots of doom metal off and on. Many of my musical structures are my own idea.
What equipment do you use?
Mostly software music programs now.
