ARse of the composer
This music is auto generated by a custom midi generating program. Each mp3 has a matching midi file and XML score file that can be used to generate similar but unique midi files. No special processing was done to the sounds on these mp3s (except reduction from 32 bit Wavs). Thanks to EWQL for their incredible products.
Also note (obvious in most cases) that no human editing has been done to the midi tracks. In many cases, just muting a few of the generated tracks would have improved the results dramatically (e.g. removing the snare rolls and cymbals on Orch Draught 2).
Of course since these are midi files that are generated, they can easily be imported into scoring programs (Sibelius, Finale, etc.) and modified there as well.
Inspired by early computer scoring applications, samplers and soft synths. Wanted a faster way to produce parts of scores to utilize the enormous number of sounds available.
Considering putting the generator up on a self-serve web site... Any interest?
Feedback is very welcome. I already have people telling me that it is a sh$tty name ;)
