ANO (Apples and Oranges)

A-N-O (Apples and Oranges): The difference between two or more things that are not the same or comparable. It all started in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan in 2003. A young man striving to find his voice in hip hop connected with a local engineer who allowed him to record songs at his house for free. The instant ANO recorded his first song he fell in love with the endless possibilities of making music. However, ANO soon found himself on the verge of being homeless and decided to southern Oklahoma where he would discover a whole new type of hip hop and culture. Christian Rap played a large part in Hip Hop in Oklahoma, and ANO soon found himself in church with a new prospective on what his music could be. He made a Christian Rap Sampler in early 2005 and distributed close to 500 copies in Oklahoma and Northern Texas. After nearly 3 years of recording and doing shows locally ANO discovered his true calling of Alternative Hip Hop. He wanted to make music that would reach a larger audience without comprimising his beliefs. So in early 2009 ANO began work on his new alternative style of Hip Hop. And the rest my friends is history. ANO now makes his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has worked with a variety of artists and continues to strive to make the best music he can. His purpose is to make music that can be enjoyed by all listeners and to lead by example in hip hop.
