Acapa (pronounced a-cap-a) is an artist, producer, song-writer and recording engineer from Montreal, Canada.
He started rapping at 13, shortly after starting high school. He's been working hard to develop his song-writing and vocal ability since then. He began creating his own instrumentals at the age of 16 and completed a ,12-month, intensive course in Audio Engineering Technology at the Trebas Institute of Montreal in 2004, at age 19.
He released his own, self-produced, debut double-album entitled "Montreal City" in 2005, at age 20. He also released 3 CD's between 2006-2007 with his rap group, DPC (Da Pimp Class) and he was reponisible for mixing those 60+ songs. The group has achieved a good level of local success with their songs on the radio, mixtapes on the streets and videos showing their neighborhoods and their city.
He released his second album of original music in late August 2008. The album, "Made In Montreal", which he recorded and mixed himself, is creating a strong buzz locally.
Acapa is looking to get a distribution deal for his label, a major label deal for his group or maybe even a solo major label deal for himself.
