A1, aka A1M, born Allen Cortez Thompson, joined this world on August 8, 1984 in Sacramento, CA. Little did the world know an upcoming star was born.
* A1 was raised by his loving mother Jennifer Carral. Miss Carral, originally from Richmond, CA, moved to Sacramento at the tender age of 19 still pregnant with her son. Determined to protect her unborn son from the life of drugs, violence and poverty, she left A1's birthfather and moved to Oakland, CA. Allen Cartez Thompson Sr. was a known gangster in Fresno, CA. Juggling drug sales, pimping and life of a thug, Miss Carral knew this was not the father-figure she wanted for her young son. Mr. Thompson desperately wanted his first born son to take on his name. Miss Carral respected his wishes and named her son Allen (Jr.). Shortly after Miss Carral moved to Sacramento, Mr. Thompson impregnated another woman. This woman insisted her son be given the name 'Allen' also, although Mr. Thompson already gave his first born son the name Allen. Because of this the name A1 came about, first Allen (Jr.) born. Soon living the life of a gangster landed A1's biological father in prison. Growing up without a father figure was not easy for A1. Miss Carral continued taking care of her young son on her own. When A1 reached the age of seven, his mother met a man named John Murry. Mr. Murry and Miss Carral decided to get married. The newly wed, Mrs. Murry, felt Mr. Murry was the right man to become a father figure to her son. Shortly after the wedding, Mrs. Murry decided to change A1's legal name to Allen Jett Murry. When A1 hit the age of 10, he was given a little brother, Jonathon Murry, aka L.J. (Little John). A1 finally had a complete family of his own.
* Mr. Murry had many life lessons to teach A1 da Murry's grew up in Oak Park, Sacramento. Oak Park is one of the hardest neighborhoods in Sacramento, involving the life of poverty, drugs and street game. ..
