TruR&B also known as Julius W. Bussey a Corpus Christi native was born March 10 1985 around 2am and next day already in the paper for being the 1st baby home delivered in 20 yrs… (already born famous…) I started singing church… at the age of 5 years old my first song was “Jesus Loves Me” in the style of Whitney Houston off the Bodyguard Soundtrack. I was taught how to use my diaphragm by Julian Sims at my church Calvary First Baptist. The song I sang was “Eyes on the Sparrow”. I won first place, to this day I thank her for showing me that. My singing didn’t stop there a very passionate choir director by the name of Anthony Richardson kept my voice on point by placing me at the sweet age of 8 in the soprano section of the choir; where I stayed till the age of 16 when my voice changed but my voice was already trained high, so my falsetto is (shhh) my secret weapon I grew up doing talents shows and have sang her the likes of some pretty famous people around Corpus Christi. I grew up on old school music riding around in my dads car listen to some of the greats “When music was music” my dad use to say.
The reason I sing is to glorify God and because what R&B means to me. Rhythm and Blues
I Feel that people need this music to comeback strong and stop talking about the same damn (sorry for cussin) things rappers rap about. I believe that R&B music is the only escape people around the world have. Its time to stop the R&S songs (Rhythm and Sex) and focus on the fans and there needs….back to my life….. I learned how express myself thru my lyrics listen to other people problems and try to feel there pain…so my music is real people going thru real situations….I joined the navy to hopefully do the music thing travel on the Government expense and expose my talent to the world. Im a real artist my inspiration comes from God and “the people” going thru pain, heartache, suffering, want to know about love how to find it, what to do when u fall out of it, how to make a relationship work even when to know to get out of relationship. If u want to know how dedicated I am this is what I tell everyone “I got the mind of a millionaire in the body of a broke man and one way or another they going to come together because I have no choice.
I sing for the people and I know they will respect me for it.
“Have hope in things u can’t see and faith in the future” and keep god first.
