Skillz, Born Elvis Orlando Lopez was born to his loving parents on August 14th, 1981. He moved to the United States in 1985, After his father died in a fatal car crash. Due to the fact he was still very young when he moved to the States, he had no problem assimilating to the lifestyle that surrounded him as a boy. After bouncing around for a while, him and his family settled in Maryland. This is where he would fall in love with music, and an up and coming rapper named Tupac Shakur. At the height of Tupac Shakurs rise he was inspired by this rappers heartfelt flows, and swagger that he decided to start writing rhymes himself. 10 years later, he started his own label, SkyHigh Recordz who's roster included 6 local artist, and 1 Producer. Since the birth of his label, they have show cased at countless local shows, and showcases. Some of SkyHigh Recordz artist including Skillz himself have opened up shows for Slim Thug, The Shop Boyz, and other major artist's. So Far the label has released 2 Mix-tapes " The Mad Notebook Mix-tape", and "Off The Ground" The Mix-tape Album. Along those two, Nufsed is to release his Solo Album "Still Standing", and B-Eazie dropped his Album L.O.R.D ( Live Or Regret Dying ) which was recieved well by many underground artists. Currently Skillz is taking time out to put together his first Official Release titled Layers: My Identity Structure, which will be distributed by local vendors some time this summer.
