What's up fam. Kickin off 09 I've decided to get started on sharpening my talents producing music by creating this profile and uploading some of my tracks for some critiquing.
I started messing around with producing music back in 02 and started making beats for a local gospel rap group about 2 years later. Then it was called Fruity Loops and now it's called FL Studio. I still use it and that's the only thing I use along with my keyboard. Yup! I said it, my keyboard, computer keyboard that is.
I took a break and stopped producing for about a year and a half now. For the most part I did it for my own amusement. I'm here because I figured, since I probably won't stop messing around and producing tracks for my own please, I might as well see how far I can take it. Now I know the saying, everyone nowadays wants to be a producer shi*. Well that might be true but I'd say I don't fall into that category because I have a love for music. There is a passion in me that likes experimenting with sounds and tweaking knobs to see what new and interesting things I can come up with. So while I don't have a strong desire to make money from this, if it takes me there so be it. I'm happy with or without it. It's like Eric Sermon said in his line opener of his track 'Music' with the Marvin Gaye sample.. "To relax my mind so I can be free..."
