New Zealand artist Rob (a.k.a Robin Johnson) is a hot blooded singer, songwriter and producer, emerging onto the scene with impeccable talent and charisma.
Rob has been an entertainer since he was 5 and has worked professionally in the New Zealand entertainment industry to this day. Rob has developed a vocal style reminiscent of Terrence Trent D'arby and Prince with a modern edge from more recent artists such as Justin Timberlake.
His sound is an electric fusion of RnB, Funk, Soul & Hiphop or more commonly known as "Urban". He describes his music as a cutting edge combination of a strong rhythm section with unique and distinctive synthetic arrangements.
As a NZ Idol top ten finalist Rob was able to put his foot in the door and work with New Zealand's top producers. His production and songwriting is in high demand from many local acts and international artists abroad. Now in production with producer Shae Sterling (Maisey Rika/Moonlight Sounds) Rob is sparking up a fresh new sound for an expanding popular music market. Rob teamed up with Miami Producer Chad Beatz and have since developed an exciting single "Chaperone" which is due for release 2010.
