CT- the Self-proclaimed leader of Kool and hard-hitting Lyricist from Landover, Maryland is how you can describe “CTeezy”. Birth name: Claudius Taylor refuses to let anyone believe that his artist name CT is his initials but contains a deeper meaning. CT’s main talents include the ability to rap and sing but he also possess a huge amount of confidence which drives him over the edge. Taylor was primarily a song writer when he started taking a lot of interest in music. At age 9 Taylor wrote 15 freestyles in a month, and had the pleasure of recording a song with his friend’s older brother’s studio. As Taylor grew up unfortunately without a main father figure most of his song lyrics contained the poise of a grown person but with a lot of anger. Taylor admitted that the reason for the harsh lyrics was because the abuse of his mother that he had witnessed at his young age, “It hurt unbearably”. Taylor’s skills come from an array of artists that he listened to an often says that both Michael Jackson and Jay-Z inspired him the most. Overcoming hardships of living in bad neighborhoods, months without electricity, or weeks without any real place to stay made him a stronger person mentally which is why he mostly raps about what he feels or has experienced. At age 11 Taylor joined the choir at his church and worked on being a singer, after doing numerous plays with the church and school. Currently Taylor still remains in Prince Georges County and after having some successful shows and a fan base of more than 300 he promises to take the music world by storm. “I work hard and so does our group, we deserve it, and I’m ready”.
