From platinum placks…to Dr. Dre, 2 Pac, Snoop Dog, and Warren G. From the Above the Rim soundtrack all the way back to the beginning days of the hits from legendary Motown soul, of the legendary Dramatics. What does all of this have in common? The magnificent bass sounds of Detroit’s own, Tony “T Money Green.” In 2008 T Money decided to resurrect his old label “Hyped International Records,” with this came the hottest new Detroit artist, Misfit. Misfit was signed to the Hyped International family in December of 2008. Shortly after, he was named CEO of the label. Since becoming CEO, Misfit has had much success and recognition throughout Motown. He was nominated through ASCAP, and won the Artist of the year award for 2008 which was issued in Playback magazine (Issue 37). Misfit has been nominated in 2010 as well as 2009 for the outstanding Hip-Hop MC award for the Detroit music awards. He has worked on beats from the Dr. himself, Dr. Dre (provided by T Money) as well as tracks ranging from Warren G, Trick Trick, Stretch Money, Dirty Glove ENT.’s J O’Neal, Malik (East Side Chedda Boyz), Big Herk, of course T Money Green, and even Hyped International’s hottest own DJ, DJ Los. With Misfit signing to the label, Platinum DJ and Co-Producer, DJ Los, became the newest addition to the Hyped family as well.
