I love classical music. I like going to concerts when I can. I'm 64, live near Bristol in the UK, and am a retired teacher (but please don't hold that against me!!). I am looking forward to going to some of the promenade concerts this summer in London.
The very first piece I heard here was Shostakovich's Festive Overture, performed by the Goose Creek Band. I am familiar with the name - Goose Creek - because it is in the Lowcountry near Charleston, South Carolina, which is where I hope soon to settle down, the reason being my family came from there. I also enjoy family history.
