For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to be something. I remember as a child looking up into the mid-night skies while I 'wish upon a star' & hope that my 'dreams come true' one day. After years in the workforce & thinking that I would never amount to anything & be but just a speck of dust in the universe, I have decided to continue dreaming bigger to be a STAR!
I can remember singing ever since I was little. Even around the age of seven years old or so, I harmonized with my sister & thought, "Gee...we are really good?!" Of course that annoyed the heck out of her, but I knew it was what I was born to do.
God blessed me with a gift so I'm going to live this life as He intended me to. I remember the very first time I finally took a microphone & stepped on stage for my first performance ever. I was 13 years old & there was NO greater feeling than having everybody's undivided attention on me. The overwhelming feeling that came over me after my performance when the crowd went wild was when I knew for sure what I was meant for.
As a teenager, I also taught myself how to break dance. As a young adult, I taught myself how to dance hip-hop & freestyle & watched music videos to learn the choreography to them.
I hope that the star I wished upon when I was young will one day be born. May that star be me!
